Questions

What planners ask first.

How fast do we get the photos from a conference?

A highlights set of 20 to 30 edited images is delivered the same evening, usually within two hours of the last session, so your social and communications team can post while the event is still news. The full edited gallery follows within 72 hours through a private online gallery your whole team can download from.

Do you carry insurance, and can you provide a certificate for the venue?

Yes. Most Peninsula venues ask for a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured. Tell me what your venue requires when you book and I will have it sent to them before the event.

Which venues have you photographed?

Eighty-eight venues across the Peninsula, from Big Sur to Salinas, including The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay, The Beach Club, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Quail Lodge, Pasadera, Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley Ranch, Mission Ranch, Asilomar, the Monterey Conference Center and the Portola, Marriott, Hyatt Regency and Plaza hotels around it. I know where the light falls in each room and where the stage shots work, which saves your planner a site visit.

How is a multi-day conference priced?

The first day is the Conference Day rate of $2,900, which includes the planning call and same-day highlights. Each additional consecutive day is $2,400. A second photographer for breakout sessions or a large general session is $800 a day. A 50 percent deposit holds the dates.

Can you do headshots on site during the event?

Yes. A headshot station with lighting and a backdrop runs alongside the program, typically during registration or breaks, and attendees get a professional headshot in a few minutes. It is $600 for a half day and covers up to about 40 people, delivered edited within a week.

How can we use the photos?

Your company receives full usage rights for the event photographs: website, social media, press releases, internal communications, recap decks and print, with no time limit and no per-image fees. Speaker and sponsor images can be shared with them as well.

“Manny was an absolute professional during our produce field tour. He was at the first tour location before our group even arrived. He quickly turned around a few candid shots for us to use on social media while he curates the full photo package. We will definitely use him again!”
