FAQ

Straight answers to the questions everyone asks.

How much does a photographer in Carmel or Monterey cost?

Corporate and event photography starts at $350 per hour, with most engagements running $350–450 per hour depending on licensing, deliverables, and crew. Architectural and real estate shoots are quoted per project based on property size and deliverables. Every quote is itemized in writing — no surprises.

What areas do you serve?

I'm based in Carmel-by-the-Sea and work throughout Pebble Beach, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel Valley, and Big Sur. Travel throughout California is available for the right project.

What do you shoot with?

Everything is captured on the 102-megapixel Fujifilm GFX 100 II medium format system. It's the same class of camera used for museum reproduction and national ad campaigns — which is why the files hold up on a billboard, a magazine spread, or a 64-inch print.

What if the weather is bad on my shoot day?

Carmel fog is real — and it can't move your listing date or your proposal. Every image starts as my own camera capture, and when a client wants golden hour that the marine layer refused to deliver, I offer advanced retouching, including AI-assisted enhancement in Photoshop, to warm light and lift skies. It's always disclosed, always client-approved, and always built on the photograph I actually took. Think of it as weather insurance for your shoot.

How are photos delivered and licensed?

Through a private online gallery, retouched and licensed for web, print, PR, and social use — no per-image fees. Corporate galleries typically deliver within 48–72 hours, and same-night selects are available for events.

Do you sell prints?

Yes — coastal fine art prints of Big Sur, Carmel, and the Monterey Peninsula, printed in-house as archival giclée, canvas, aluminum, or acrylic up to 64 inches. Trade pricing is available for designers, builders, and hospitality. See the prints page.

Do you photograph weddings?

My focus is commercial work — corporate, architecture, food, and aerial — but I take on a limited number of proposals, engagements, and intimate celebrations each year, especially on Carmel Beach and Point Lobos. Reach out with your date.
